WB17 adhesive wax is a soft adhesive wax with a high tack that will bond parts in place with little pressure, but is removable to allow re-positioning of the sheet or part a number of times. It replaces Schaefer #7 wax, Schaefer Supreme wax, CW5, and CT5 adhesive wax. It is used primarily for jet engine assembly and repair work, and is perfect for temporarily holding gaskets and light weight parts in place during the assembly process.
WB17 wax is pale yellow in color and is supplied in slabs divided into cakes that are 1 ½” x 3” x 5/8” in size. It is packaged in 10 lb. cartons with release paper between the layers of wax. CT5 wax is slightly darker in color, but also comes in the slabs divided into cakes.
