LOCTITE®
425™ is designed as a fast curing, low strength
adhesive for locking metal and plastics fasteners. The product
is designed for pre- or post-application. LOCTITE®
425™ cures
quickly on plated metal and plastics fasteners; fixturing is
achieved in less than 2 minutes and full strength within 24
hours. This product is commonly used for tamperproofing the
head of screws or potentiometers. Fixture speed can be
increased by application of a LOCTITE® Cyanoacrylate
activator - e.g. 7113™. This product is typically
used in applications with an operating range of -54 °C to
+85 °C.
Storage:
Store product in the unopened container in a dry location.
Storage information may be indicated on the product container
labeling.
Optimal Storage: 2 °C to 8 °C. Storage below 2 °C or
greater than 8 °C can adversely affect product properties.
Directions of use:
1. For best performance bond surfaces should be clean and
free from grease.
2. This product performs best in thin bond gaps (0.05 mm).
3. Excess adhesive can be dissolved with Loctite cleanup
solvents, nitromethane or acetone.
