Brake fluid is one of the most important components in your vehicle. When the brake pedal is depressed, the pedal force created is transferred from the master cylinder onto the wheel brake through the brake lines or hoses. It also serves to lubricate brake lines and hoses and prevent corrosion.
Bosch brake fluids have been specially formulated with a high wet and dry boiling point to prevent the formation of vapor bubbles, improving braking efficiency. They offer excellent viscosity at varying temperatures and exceed all DOT standards.
Bosch offers two brake fluid products:
- DOT 3: economic option for older vehicles, slow driving and less frequent braking
- DOT 4: standard option for newer cars, fast driving and frequent braking
You should change your brake fluid every 20,000 km or every two years, whichever comes first.
