The coating dries to a smooth, transparent film.
T-5442 WD is non-corrosive to any of the metals or painted surfaces commonly used on aircraft.
The protective film can be readily removed using alkaline-based aircraft exterior cleaners, such as JET CLEAN B.
This product complies with the requirements of MIL-C-16173D, Grade 3, and is intended for short-term corrosion protection of surfaces that require frequent recoating and where a clear protective film is desired.
T-5442 WD is designed to provide corrosion protection for metal surfaces for periods of up to one month.
