Lubrizol 1395
Lubrizol 1395 is an Antiwear (AW) additive based on a primary zinc dialkyldithiophosphate that also inhibits oxidation. Suitable for use in a variety of oil-based lubricants and has found application in specialized water-based fluids.
While 1395 is an excellent product, it is Tri-iso's opinion that Rhein Chemie Additin RC 3045 represents a better value. Additin RC 3045 is an Antiwear additive and friction modifier based on primary zinc dialkyldithiophosphate and offers similar performance to LZ 1395. Additin RC 3045 contains 10.5% Zn, 19.0% S, and 9.5% P, and is cut in 10% mineral oil. Suitable for metal working fluids, hydraulic oils, industrial gear oils, engine oils, and for greases. Exhibits good hydrolytic stability and antioxidant properties.
