Ardrox 398A
Weapons lubricant, corrosion protective, water repellent
ARDROX 398A is synthetic organic liquid with high penetrant power combined with exceptional antiwear,
anti-seizing and corrosion protection properties. It also renders combustion residues soluble and
has good detergent properties.
ARDROX 398A was designed to ensure satisfactory operation of armaments under all climatic
conditions.
ARDROX 398A is suitable for use for cleaning, lubricating, protecting from corrosion and repelling water
from all types of armaments and weapons, including : pistols, automatic pistols, rifles, automatic rifles,
submachine guns, machine guns, hunting and sports weapons, artillery pieces of all calibres, hand
grenades, mortars, shells and air-to-air and air-to-ground missile launchers, etc.
ARDROX 398A remains liquid at temperatures as low as –60o
C. Armaments and mechanisms protected
and lubricated with ARDROX 398A may be used and operated at temperatures of low as –54o
C.
The properties of ARDROX 398A are such that it can be used in applications other than protecting,
cleaning and lubricating armaments :
- Cleaning and corrosion protection of mechanical assemblies with very low tolerances where high
penetrating power is required.
- Provision of a very thin lubricating and corrosion protecting film with very good thermal, anti-wear
and anti-seizing properties.
ARDROX 398A is suitable for active-service, in-situ maintenance by aerosol application, workshop
maintenance and long term care of armaments and weapons in store.
