ACTIVATOR XA is used at room temperature for etching locally ferrous metals and light alloys before plating using the selective Brush electrolysis process. It permits to eliminate various impurities, oxides, and precipitates from the surface, which is dissolved by approximately 5 m. The treatment must be completed with ACTIVATOR XB (or ATTAQUE N° 2 or ACTIVATOR / ETCH No. 3) to perfectly clean the area to be plated.
