Grade 00000 steel wool, extra fine texture, is especially useful for removing tough lime stains from glass and eliminating rust from metals and chrome on your car. It is the finest steel wool on the market. Now the extra fine texture is even finer than the traditional 0000. Sometimes a lime stain remover is not enough. Neither is using a Glass Polish or glass polish. In these cases where lime marks are deeply embedded in the glass, a more effective method is needed, such as steel wool with good lubrication. It can also be used for waxing wood, matting varnishes, polishing copper, tin, or brass.
Grade 00000 is the finest available and therefore the softest and most recommended. The steel filaments in grade 00000 range from 0.05mm to 0.01mm. In this case, with proper lubrication, that is, using a Glass Polish like Stoner Water Spot Remover and a high-lubrication QD like Duragloss Fast, Clean & Shine, we can remove lime marks from the glass without scratching it.
It can also be used on all types of metals to remove deposits and remnants of rust.
Use in pieces because when wet, they oxidize after a few hours.
