ARDROX 6485 A
is a gel consisting of
biodegradable surfactants, alcaline additives
and corrosion inhibitors.
The product does not contain any free caustic
substances, chromates, phosphates, nitrates,
solvents (including glycol or glycol ether), EDTA
or its salts, NTA or its salts.
Furthermore, ARDROX® 6485 was specially
developed in order to meet the requirements of
• Directive 2003/53/EC relating to the
restrictions of the marketing and use of
nonyl phenol and nonyl phenol
ethoxylates
• and of the Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004
relating to the biodegradability of
surfactants.
ARDROX® 6485 is used to remove grease, oil
and other contaminations found on aircraft
exteriors.
ARDROX® 6485 and its aquaeous solution can
be easily rinsed off with water.
Method of use
ARDROX® 6485 is used as concentrate or
diluted in water (up to 1:4). Apply a uniform film
by spraying or brushing and allow to dwell for 10
to 15 min. Longer dwell times can be necessary
for heavily soiled surfaces, but care should be
taken that the film does not dry. Apply
mechanical action such as brushing if
necessary, then rinse with clean water.
Effects on materials
ARDROX® 6485 meets the requirements of the
major aerospace specifications such as, for instance,
Boeing D6-17487 Rev. P, AMS 1523A and AMS
1533A. Its effects on usual materials like aluminium
alloys, magnesium, titanium and steel were tested.
