ROYCO® LGF and SSF
LANDING GEAR AND SHOCK STRUT FLUID
ROYCO® LGF and SSF are mineral oil based
hydraulic fluids designed specifically for use in aircraft
landing gear systems, shock struts and other fluid
dampening systems. Modern additive technology for
greatly improved lubricity and extreme pressure antiwear performance is used to provide the performance
levels required by today’s wide body aircraft. ROYCO®
LGF and SSF are approved for use in most current
models of Boeing, Lockheed, McDonnell Douglas,
Airbus, and many other manufacturers of commercial
transports .
Composition :
ROYCO® SSF is a preservative grade of hydraulic
fluid conforming to MIL-PRF-6083 plus LUBRIZOL
1395 and other additives.
Features & Benefits :
ROYCO® LGF and ROYCO® SSF are completely
compatible with oils meeting MIL-PRF-5606 and MILPRF-6083. ROYCO® SSF and LGF were specifically
developed to improve “slip stiction” and to alleviate
“ladder cracking” in landing gear struts due to sudden
and severe shock loads encountered during landing.
Approvals & Specification :
SSF (yellow) and LGF (yellow) are qualified to
Boeing Materials Specification BMS 3-32 (Type I
and II respectively). RED dyed versions conform to
Douglas Specification DPM-6177. Documentation
supporting other transport manufacturers’
specification may be obtained upon request.
